Domain reputation checker

Reputation is context, not a verdict.

HIP combines available reputation evidence with identity, DNS, transport, lookalike and page-level signals. No single source, domain age, or clean blocklist response can establish trust on its own.

Evidence in context

What can contribute to a domain result.

Reputation

Independent evidence

Configured security providers can contribute normalized phishing, malware or URL-reputation findings with source, freshness and availability preserved.

History

Age and prior evidence

Registration age and historical results can add context when available. An old domain can be compromised, and a new domain is not automatically malicious.

Impersonation

Lookalike risk

Unicode, punycode, character substitutions, TLD swaps and misleading subdomains can reveal a domain designed to resemble another.

DNS

Security posture

DNS and certificate evidence can expose configuration weaknesses and support identity checks without claiming that configuration alone proves safety.

Verification

Control is separate

Verified domain control says who can answer a challenge. HIP keeps that identity fact separate from reputation and page-risk findings.

Score

Explainable result

The final result shows score components, evidence coverage, confidence, reasons and unavailable stages so the number can be interpreted responsibly.
